I am surprised no one mentioned this gem. John Huston's "Wise Blood" from 1978 starring Brad Douriff. I have heard rumors of it coming out on dvd in the future via Criterion.

I thought that movie was the shit featuring a pretty kick ass score by James Horner. Though maybe I also love it because Conrad Hall's cinematography. The man could of photographed Seth Rogen taking a dump and would have made it look like art.
