WISE BLOOD
I am surprised no one mentioned this gem. John Huston's "Wise Blood" from 1978 starring Brad Douriff. I have heard rumors of it coming out on dvd in the future via Criterion.

SAINT JACK
SAINT JACK (1979) starring Ben Gazzara as an American pimp in 1970's Singapore is unfortunately not available on Netflix which is a real shame. One of Bogdanovich's most underrated films featuring a great performance by Mr. Underrated Himself Ben Gazzara. It is on dvd though.

Heat and De Niro
I remember when HEAT came out in 1995 and actually saw it opening day. While the film got very solid reviews I do remember that the overall reception for the film wasn't great, or at least disappointing. It seems to me that HEAT really found its audience on video and cable, which is great considering

I love you Memories

How about a new Honey I Shrunk The Kids with Jackie Earle Haley? He's tiny as is.

Is 'The Wrestler' Going To Be Playing There?
Aronofsky and Mickey Rourke in the lead as a former 80's has been PRO Wrestler? I am so there.

Eat shit and die.

But the kids love us.

Rick Moranis
He left the biz after '97 - who can forget the classic "direct-to-vhs" HONEY WE SHRUNK OURSELVES with Stuart Pankin!!! - to raise his children after his wife died of cancer. Anyone else want to see this guy make a comeback? He was sorely underrated and underappreciated as a comic/actor and I actually

Stop it…NOW
Okay, now after Lucas, Spielberg, and company raped our beloved childhood memories by adding god awful/extremely mediocre sequels/prequels to the Star Wars and Indy trilogy all I have left for my beloved childhood movie trilogies/sequels are BACK TO THE FUTURE and GHOSTBUSTERS, both of which do not need

Great quote in the movie
"I don't want to go down there. What is there a Rancor?" - LMAO

Hahahahaha, that kid the film is about - Josh Waitzkin - now writing books on karate or some shit like that.

Am I the only one who loves Searching For Bobby Fischer?
I thought that movie was the shit featuring a pretty kick ass score by James Horner. Though maybe I also love it because Conrad Hall's cinematography. The man could of photographed Seth Rogen taking a dump and would have made it look like art.

I love Collateral, it's not HEAT but I love it. Also, the more and more I watch THE INSIDER the more and more I think it rocks.

Movies gets props for a Michael Mann cameo!!!!
Michael Mann makes a cameo as an executive Bateman is pitching an idea too. Pretty sweet.

Movie was a mess in the second half
I saw it last night and actually really enjoyed the first hour or so. And when they introduce a twist I enjoyed that as well. But the last act of reintroducing cartoon villains in order to give the film a big, action sequence felt completely unnecessary and forced. The film should

Where's my 1 minute to cook pizza from Pizza Hut?
Still waaaaaiting….

Audience for WALL*E this weekend?
I have been debating this with my friend (which is sad I guess that we have conversations about box office gross) but the one thing that I have noticed about the Pixar films - especially Post-Incredibles, is that adult audiences seem to be more excited to see them then the kids. And

Actually I believe Brad Bird directed live action before on AMAZING STORIES in the eighties.

Brad Bird's next film?
I heard that his next film isn't going to be computer animated? Any truth to this.
