Wasn't it about a month ago that we got a detailed flashback showing us that Jules was uninhibited and Ellie used to be all buttoned down?  And now they're telling us Ellie was a juvie and Jules was a goody-goody?  I don't ask for strict continuity in this show but don't rub my face in it.

I'll allow it, in the sense that the character was coming up with it in real time, so he was correcting or expanding upon his first thought.

But really, you can't expect news outlets to be less spoiler-y than the network putting the show on.  Not that I don't appreciate what Todd was trying to do.

There's a clear Ontario plate late in this first ep.

Hell, in this context the timeslot is practically a spoiler.

I just want to watch the Oh So Many Evil Nina Dobrevs Show.  Also I have learned that I need to find woman-commands-her-twin-to-hand-over-her-accessories porn.  It's been decades since I had the thought "Wow, that's hot in a way that's new to me."

Tv By The Numbers has them as "likely to be renewed".

When 61 years old you reach, look as — God, I hate myself.

The only time I've had any trouble from the outside for torrenting, it's been HBO shows.

Ah, got it. Thanks.

Oh right — they didn't have mobile phones, even that big, back then.  But still — why would Mr. German assume that the very next time he'd use it, he'd be next to a scientist?  For that matter, how did Mr. German make the FBI agent go to his special prostitute?

So how did that business with the FBI agent's phone work?  Was it on a timer and it just happened to blow up exactly when he was with one of the scientists?  That seems like a crappy plan.

When the Captain was describing weird art it sounded a lot like Stefon telling us about New York's Hottest Club.

Reboot of Psycho, or reboot of Bosom Buddies?  YOU decide.

Actually St. Elsewhere has a pretty good dreams episode: "Sweet Dreams", featuring Fiscus meeting God who is also Fiscus, and Jack Morrison talking to his dead friend Peter white, who, oh yeah, just turned out to be a rapist.

Watch the 30 seconds (of Dharma and Greg, but trust me) here and see how it stacks up:

"Village of the Damned", at least the original, addresses this point in detail.

Well…I always figured that "she sits and waits/with no expression upon her face/When she was thirty-six she met him at the door…" is all one thought.  But it also does invite you to imagine a gap before "when she was thirty-six"…but what's the expressionless waiting about then?  She's turned off like a robot while

The structure isn't wrong — cutting the tears with a laugh is the classical way to do an emotional sitcom episode.  I just think this particular set of jokes didn't work.

(I realize it's three weeks later but I just noticed this…)
