Thanks for the link. I like Laura Miller, too. I haven't read Wood's new book, but I'm with her on his ability to create a critical structure (in 3D!). But I generally don't find the shades drawn. Or when they are I'm all like, Hey! Working shades. I'll just roll these babies up and see what's outside.
