Are you telling me they didn't shoot Sucker Punch on location?

I really wanted to get to Hu-man myself, but when Terence Stamp tells you he's late for a costume fitting with Colleen Atwood, you let him go.

I don't think Shoah does, but Lanzmann certainly leans toward Holocaust exceptionalism.

Not condescending, more incredulous. The difference between DVD and 35mm with a well-preserved "old film" is as great as with any contemporary film. Moreso sometimes, since a lot of modern films are shot with one eye on the small screen and lower-resolution formats. Watch Murnau's Sunrise on Blu-ray.

He's not an ideal, but he actually has a moral compass, however demagnetized, which I think puts him in a class by himself, THE THICK OF IT-universe speaking.

The Archers managed to find an American who talks exactly like a British person badly faking an American accent.

The Sampler using "music"—actually just low-frequency tones—to get the worm-infested people to come to him is based on a real technique called worm farming (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik…, so it's all like science and shit.

As it stands, I'm seeing Before Midnight and In a World today, Stoker tomorrow and The East on Tuesday.

My sense is CRUISING's rep in the community has improved substantially, if only because it's one of few depictions of the time.

Also, I suspected and the director confirmed that the film was shot on a DSLR, which shoots video but looks like a still camera, which makes staying under the radar much more feasible.

Based on the reaction so far, the odds are very, very high.

Because he's JG-L, and because it's Sundance.

Seriously, the way Cera runs in that shot—in slow-motion, yet—is some kind of gangly work of art. Unless he actually runs like that, in which case that is one awkward dude.

Beautiful. Cera's character isn't wrong about having the perfect place to trip (I think it's called Pan de Sucre)—he's just a dick about it.

@Pepenador:disqus Still not the same thing. If the police declined to investigate those murders because who cares about a bunch of white people, then we'd have something.

Actually, I have enough faith in people, black or otherwise, that I believe they can indulge a fantasy without moving any closer to acting it out. That said, Spook isn't a fantasy, and is isn't about "baiting racial aggression"—see "This ain't about hating white folks," above.

Upon further investigation, it was my error. Mea maxima culpa.
