Totally agree. Her facial expressions during the Maori war dance were amazing. We had to rewind and pause to really get the full effect. Love the crazy eyes.

I'm with you - I rather enjoyed this episode. The visual gag alone where Danny DeVito is wearing that awful wig, but all the characters address him as if he's 19 years old (but looks 12) made the episode worth it for me.

Puppies, a Gertrude stein and Ben weeping in a Batman costume - that alone makes the episode a solid A- for me.

I'm not sure I need the show to run multiple seasons, honestly. To me, the most bold thing the show could do would be to just tell a great revenge story over the course of a season and then end.

Agreed. Those two sex scenes alone make MacGruber worth watching. I like the commitment that both Will Forte and Maya Rudolph have in making the most unsexy and horrific sex scene I've seen in a long time.

Agreed - that line had us laughing so hard we hard to rewind it twice. Instant season pass from that alone - genius. That, and the actor who plays Ryan showing total commitment to dancing like a slut.

Fair enough - when the roommate made the comment, I did think maybe the writers wanted us to think Jess's over the top praise for Spencer was hilarious. But it just sort of made her seem like an idiot, and not in a funny Joey Tribbiani kind of way (which, by the way, seems to be what they're aiming for with the

I hate to say it, as I normally really adore her, but Zooey Deschanel is pretty much the weakest part of the whole show. Am I the only one who finds her character really freaking irritating? Her tics are meant to be quirky and endearing, but if I had a roomie who smashed my TV and then was all, "Oh well, I'm poor, so

I think you also have to consider the victim here. Jason Stackhouse's greatest strength (and weakness) is his simple mind. The show's not going to dwell too much on the horror of gang rape, because honestly the character isn't going to dwell on it very long. Jason's always been the kind of guy to bounce back quickly

No Nick Offerman? I call bullshit on that.

@Lord Gaga - in a general sense it bothers me, but in this specific case I'm fine with them keeping it subtext. Look, I wish they'd hook Rizzoli and Isles up, but I've got fan fic out there to satisfy that itch if I desire. However, I think that TNT has positioned themselves as a specific kind of channel - one that

The site Afterellen.com actually has a good article up on this. They talk about how as lesbian/bi fans of the show, all we're really looking for is the subtext to continue full blown. I don't expect TNT (or Angie "not really down with the gays" Harmon) to go out on a limb and feature two lesbians leads. I mean, I'd

I thought the last scene with Dany would have been even more impactful if they had done a better job setting up her tension with Drogo's blood riders. I wish the show had done a better job establishing what the blood riders were all about, and how they planned to abandon her immediately after the funeral. That's why

I'm fine with the series name. It instantly tells you that it's an explicit continuation of The Closer universe, versus a new cop drama that happens to star Mary McDonnell. It also suggests that (hopefully) many of the people we love from The Closer would presumably migrate to the new show.

It's funny, because I think the OTHER Murray brother is more what I pictured Mayor Gunderson to be like. I vote for Brian Doyle-Murray.

Apparently, Leslie and Ben need to get together with 30 Rock's Jack and Avery for an orgy of disturbing political cosplay. Avery will bring the Reagan mask and Ben can do his voice.

The way Amy Poehler (or her stunt double - couldn't really tell) literally launched herself completely horizontal into the air was one of my favorite sight gags of the year. Brilliant.

In a perfect world, both Todd and David would write dueling recaps of the show each week. Not only was David's review above really well done, but I really enjoyed hearing the perspective from someone who hasn't read the books.

Peter Dinklage rules all. For a non-comedy featuring him that is awesome you should check out The Station Agent.
