WWZ has Israel surviving the onslaught while Iran and Pakistan nuke each other, Cuba survives as a flourishing capitalist state, Tibet gains democracy, South Africa uses a plan derived from apartheid-era race war contingency to survive. What post-apocalyptic war are you from to consider that liberal.

I know it wouldn't merit inclusion on this list, but the World War Z film adaptation, slated to release on the day the Mayan calendar closes, will have two things for us to (not) look forward to: 1) whether or not the world ends, and 2) how much Brad Pitt screws up the adaptation so that fans of the book can righteous

I guess I'm just sick of retreading WWI and II because we've explored and mined all of the emotional content out of it. It's like how in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy it mentions people started harvesting energy from the past to use as a resource, which retroactively impoverished their ancestors.

Perhaps even… a game of Chinese telephone???

Actually, enough of the carnage

Finally, something MLP-related worth watching.

I'm not the one issuing them. I would like it if AV Club got rid of all of all ratings and just stuck with reviews, but their popularity would plummet.

I absolutely love how this has the same grade as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Not to mention he's black!

Tron Legacy for most underrated film of every year.

That's fair. I think this article's list is just terrible.

Tron Legacy for most underrated film of the year.

Agreed. Without Inception nor The Social Network, there was nothing that could both be high-brow yet appeal to us plebs. Maybe, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will redeem this year? At least we know 2012 definitely will have The Dark Knight Rises.

But she got out of both situations because OTHER PEOPLE sacrificed themselves for her sake.
