It's funny, because I used to be one of those "don't fruit the beer" adherents. But since Jester King and Prairie are readily available in my area I started on the sours and now it's to the point where it's what I reach for first, especially for outdoor activities.
I live in Texas so bitterness is not something I'm huge on during the long hot summers. I like IPA's (stouts and porters too) but I tend to leave them for fall and winter. I prefer the dryer crisper end of the spectrum during the summer.
I think sours and goses are already loosening the stranglehold IPA's have as the drink of choice among the beer loving sub culture.
