I find his discussions of science in films to be pitched just about perfectly. He doesn't really shit on the movies for their science so much as uses them as the base for a teachable moment.
I've got no interest in this soundtrack, but I'm digging the art.

You're right, and I'm probably being a bit narrow of my reading of their criticism.
He's not the Chance that Europe deserves, he's the Chance they need.
I was in the same boat, but my reaction to seeing a clip or two from Collider was less "this needs to be torn down a peg" and more "this should be ignored as the dreck it is."
I love Clone Wars and think it successfully executes everything the prequels tried and failed at, but I think it only makes sense in the context of Eps 2&3. It assumes too much familiarity with the Jedi Order and larger galaxy.
I'm torn on the whole Nerd Crew thing.
