Oh, the whole "She should date him so he doesn't kill people" thing was so dumb. We'd just established he was killing Whitmores WHILE HE WAS DATING HER.

Yeah, she couldn't just kill the Traveler lady. It's sort of like Harry Potter using Expeliarmus against Voldemort. It's the reason they're better people (theoretically), but it inevitably leads to failure, or at least temporary failure.

It was a dumb thing to do. The fun in that relationship was all in the tension; now that they've had their boring sex scene, I just don't care about them at all. Or, rather, I care about them even less.

My favorite Damon is S3 Damon, but if he can be as fun as he was in S1, I would be SO happy. Finally, a reason to watch this show out of desire rather than loyalty.
