If I've learned one thing from this show, it's that they're completely unwilling to kill off characters permanently. I'm guessing they'll transfer Katherine into Elena's body and let the hijinks ensue from there.

Since Season 2? Did you watch a different Season 3 from the one I saw?

I agree. Why didn't they address the serum afterwards at all? Seeing as she lives with vampires, it would have been nice of her to tell them, "BT-dubs, I might crave your blood now. Damon, you're still into blood-sharing, right?" Based on the review and the other comments, I wasn't sure if the serum had an impact.

He has a daylight genital piercing.

That's the problem with being orphaned as a teenager— she doesn't know how to fill in the insurance claim forms to rebuild her house or her dad's office.

Honestly, the Silas/Tessa thing did nothing for me. Great performances all around, but it just wasn't that interesting. I'm not saying this plot is MORE interesting, because I was really hoping for something beyond the 80th rehash of "Elena is trapped! We need to save Elena!" but anything's better than hearing "The

By the way, the doctor DID inject her with something, right? Or was it an incomplete operation? I didn't have time to rewatch that scene, but I thought Aaron picked up an empty syringe afterwards.

The thing is that Elena was NEVER as judgmental as she should have been. Even in the first season, she convinced Lexi's boyfriend not to kill Damon when she KNEW how terrible Damon was. She also told Stefan that his life was worth saving even if he WAS a Rippahhhh. It's not a huge shift in character for her not to

We never saw his dead body, of course. Part of me is still convinced that Shane is alive— Bex is keeping him hostage as her human blood bag.

I agree! I always thought Elena should try to talk to Isobel's parents, since they apparently visit her grave every day or week or whatever. After making such a big deal about finding her birth mother and losing everyone in her adoptive family, you'd think she'd be more interested in connecting with her biological

I didn't read the book until I was 19 or 20, but I got the exact same impression. I was blown away by Peter's cruelty, which they hint at in live action/animated productions, but never really analyse. Even the descriptions make him sound terrifying— the "teeth like pearls" made me think of an evil doll, but they also

Yeah, there are some works from my childhood that totally hold up, but Hook isn't one of them. I don't quite understand why people think because they liked something at age 8, they'll like it now. If anything, nostalgia makes stuff look even worse because it heightens expectations.

Agreed. I feel like most of the plot points lately haven't had any consequences, with the exception of Katherine's cure thing and Bonnie's anchor thing.

I don't think he was lying— he knew Jesse's aunt's name and that she lived in Charleston. That's really specific.

First, a refresher on my theory on the Great Car Crash of 2009: Grayson is a grown-ass, sober man driving a car with two of his loved ones as passengers. He has two teenage children and was already a doctor by the time Elena was born, so he had to be at least 40, probably older (or, you know, 25 in TVD-age). He was

This show would be so much more fun if the characters didn't get randomly judgmental any time one of them killed a guest star. There's not much of a difference between Elena killing Jesse and Stefan killing Vicki. And, hey, Caroline killed 12 witches when they were trying to kill Bonnie. It's not exactly a betrayal of

That would also be silly, since Stefan kept a lot of secrets from her. He didn't tell her about Katherine. He held off on telling her about just how bad he was when he was on blood. It's just so inconsistent.

Yeah, I just wish that they'd had him walk past an extra to account for the old guy knowing about him.

As long as it's Enzo's Malarkey, I'm down with that.

At least he's not looking for Rebekah!
