Wow, you know enough hockey fans to know the opinions of over 50%?! That's impressive. I would say Hockey fans are on the same level of Football fans in regards to racism. A few levels below NASCAR but also a few levels above decency (I will grant you that there is definitely a racism problem in the NHL)

I was going to get into this show because I heard Jim Beaver was on it. I now have no motivation to get into this show knowing he dies. Its Harper's Island all over again.

I think its a bit of both honestly. Network interference is no excuse for how bad the show has been. Sure, you can blame the network for making it a generic NCIS type show, but even NCIS or one of the CSI's is more entertaining than that show has been.

So basically "this show has flaws so it will never get better". Such intelligent criticism.

You can definitely see it with the Quarterback position when players like Brady "had to work for everything they were given" and "are master strategists with the football" whereas RGIII "is a natural who wins through sheer god given athletic talent"

Yeah, the "gritiness" of Pedey comes more from his lack of grace than his lack of athletic ability. When an averaged size person dives to make a play or swings a normal baseball bat it often looks fluid. Pedroia is small and, swings a disproportionately large bat like he was the size of Big Papi.
