At this point I am pretty sure that the story/performances make up 1% of why I enjoy Ridley Scott films. At this point, I am pretty much just going to look at that them because they always look damn good even if the story usually ranges from Below average (Promethus) to above average (Gladiator).

Maybe that is why I never really understood the love for this movie, I have only seen the director's cut. My friend got it accidentally for my birthday and said he didn't think there was that much of a difference. I'll definitely have to get my hands on the theatrical cut.

Jesus, Heisenberg let the man watch it (or not watch it) on his own time.

ARE YOU TAKING NOTES OF A CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY?!

Alright! Alright!

Tom Hardy is fairly high on the list of men that I would totally climb like a tree if given the chance.

As you should always be.

Rowan's reviews of The Cape will forever stand as one of the crowning achievements of the T.V. Club

I need to watch more General Hospital…

Ours tried to do that as well but was similarly inept. Also fun fact: the actress that played juliet was not allowed to see the movie because she was too young to see movies with nudity…even though it was her boob.

I feel like they were also taking about doing season 1-3 of BSG I think.

Any fondness I still have for Franco is entirely thanks to that scene.

Maybe Rome? I feel like it is the only major 2000s HBO show they haven't done, and it has a fairly substantial following.

I did to actually! It was the first time Rowling really characterized him beyond "he's brave". He wasn't the most pleasant person to be around, but at least he was exuding emotion

Exactly to me it was the first one to really exist as a movie in its own right, separate from the book it was adapting. The first two are very much just setting a sequence of events that happened in the book to film

Yeah, it definitely can be a bad strategy and Price is one of the best at using it against the Sox but when you're going up against 3 dominant starters, its generally a good plan to get them out as fast as possible

I feel like the Harry Potter movies are a series I am completely unqualified to evaluate in an objective manner. I more or less grew up with the books/movies so both sit squarely in my nostalgic blind spot.

The think the best was when in the 2004 WS he spent the entirety of Game 1 talking about how great and well rounded a team the Yankees had. You know, the team that just suffered the worst collapse in post season history.

My favorite was when he spent the entire ALCS talking about how he "isn't a proponent of trying to run up the pitch count of a starter" while watching that strategy pay dividends for the Red Sox.

Yeah, Half-Blood Prince looks fantastic I will give you that and I honestly loved the Rom-Com aspect as well. I still haven't come around to it entirely though mainly do to the massive tonal inconsistency between the heightened zippy rom-com stuff and gloomy Dumbledore/Harry stuff.
