I never fail to get a little misty at that line. Never before has a show been so perfectly summed up in its final line.

I'd be willing to accept Amy Acker as 20 if that meant there was more Amy Acker in my life.

There page of "Liberal v Conservative movies" is also very top notch.
Speaking as someone who grew up in a small Massachusetts suburb: there is nothing more terrifying than a small town/
No, he was trained only to elbow them and then wait 3 seconds before elbowing them again. That way if it was a non-lethal mission and he got caught he'd be dead by the time the second elbow lended! And get this, it always teakes two hits to knock someone out when they discovered him! That totally didn't cause gamers…
Ding was somehow simultaneously the best member of your squad and the most bone headed member of your squad.
The American government was single handedly propelled through Clancy's sheer patriotic force of will.
Well @Scrawler2:disqus Canada's anthem is pretty darn awesome so I wouldn't hold that against the SSB. Personally I wish we had the Jamaican national anthem. That thing is fantastic
Rainbow Six was my introduction. Tore through that baby on a Sunday afternoon when I was about 13 and proceeded to rip through my Dad's Clancy collection.
My uncle who works in military intelligence says that Clancy's "near future spy tech" is so accurate thatd all his co-workers are convinced that Clancy had to have had someone on the inside feeding him information.
The man could surely spin a good story. You picked up a Clancy book you knew you were going to be thoroughly entertained throughout, which I think is something we take for granted in our authors. RIP Clancy, you will be missed.
There's also the fact that Joss was barely involved post pilot. I heard he did some script doctoring on later episodes but that is about it
Current SHIELD comics get on my nerves for the same reason. They take themselves so seriously all the freaking time. However, most other current Marvel books (especially the excellent All-New X-men and Uncanny X-Men helmed by Brian Michael Bendis) are currently taking the piss out of SHIELD at least twice an issue, so…
Am I the only one who can't shake the feeling that Whedon really wanted Amy Acker for that character but was unable to get her?
Yeah, and it seemed like the show was just as aware of it as we were. The serial killer part was the least interesting part of the show, it was consistently at its strongest when it focused on the stark disparity between the two countries. I'm hoping season 2 focuses more on the latter instead of giving us another…
Seriously, this show has always been fantastic at creating consistent runners and this season gives them an excuse to use as many as possible. "Thank you Linus" and "Ring Bear" are already winners.
I find sonavabitch to be entirely overdone. I am physically incapable of rolling my eyes every time she does it.
