The song is "I Shall Be Released" not "I Will Be Released."

This is funny because it reminded me that Robin Williams came to see The Truman Show at a theater I used to work at in Chapel Hill when he was shooting Patch Adams. I can't help thinking that when he was watching it he was thinking 'wish I'd gotten this script.'

Autographs I have:

I second that. The Gorman Bechard deal had some good anecdotes by some valid folks but it sorely lacked in context.

I was surprised that this piece doesn't mention the Big Star doc - "Nobody Can Hurt Me" - not that I think the subject was unworthy of the treatment (I loved it and thought it was a story well worth telling) but there's been a bit of backlash towards it so I thought it would come up.

The Dude certainly abides by that.

Being
that the Ramones took their name from Paul McCartney's pseudonym when
checking into hotels at the height of Beatlemania, Paul Ramon, I would think
that even strict members of the punk police (not that I really think such people exist) would
be hip to the blatant pop connection, but I’m often surprised at how such

Claire Zulkey -  I was at that Costello show  at Wolf Trap in Virginia in 1999 and I'm surprised you didn't mention that during that closing a cappella version of “Couldn’t Call It Unexpected No. 4” a helicopter passed over, but it only slightly interrupted the song.
I even dug up the bootleg recording I have of the

Thought Spinal Tap's "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight" was gonna be on this list, but since it's a parody of a one night stand song I can see why it didn't make it.

I was surprised Freeman's fan favorite performance wasn't mentioned in this review too - this is from the local newspaper when the movie was screened here in Raleigh a week or so ago: http://www.newsobserver.com…

Yeah, they should really fix this. Sure it's trivial, but I'd hate to think somebody might seek these TV movies out to see Hagman as Tony Nelson the '80s and come upon Wayne Rogers in the role. Man that's a scary thought.

The first thought I had when seeing this list was when Devo was on "Square Pegs"! Especially as it had Merritt Butrick (you know, Kirk's son) repeatedly calling them his "all time favorite band" and then they were never mentioned again. Okay so the show only went on for 10 episodes after that but, uh, that's all I got.

I just went out and bought the new dB's album on vinyl (btw where's your review? It's great stuff) and love that it contains a CD and a download card for 5 bonus tracks. So I am also a fan of that packaging. Space is indeed an issue in my fairly small office but it's so appealing to be able to buy an album like that.

Yeah, well put.
