While I totally agree that this show is incredibly schizophrenic with its tone, I do think it's very good with individual characters jokes; Morgan and Danny are the two people who make me *genuinely* laugh out loud every single episode.

Mindy Kaling's late mother was a gynecologist, so I spent the entire episode wondering how much of the holistic hippies vs. real doctors plot was based on what she grew up with. I definitely enjoyed Danny's verbal assault of the anti-vaccine Mom and the "Ahem - we can't legally call them 'patients' " line.

The Jesus sketch was a little weak, but Keegan-Michael's pimp craziness made it funny enough. The civil war slave sketch reminded me a lot of that crack den sketch from last season, what with the huge twists at the end of both.

Wow… Link/citation attesting to this travesty of casting?

Good to know at least one liberal out there finds Will/the show itself intolerable. I'm Republican and I can't stand how Will's two mentions of his supposedly being a Republican have served no other purpose than for Sorkin giving himself carte blanche as a writer to just critique everything about extremist Republican

If they'd done a mix of the two, I think it might dampen the self-righteousness that comes with the 20/20 hindsight aspect of the show's narrative. Sorkin essentially did this with West Wing to some degree, since TWW *would* reference events in the not-so-recent past, but the facsimile story lines would still work as
