How are you still single?
How are you still single?
Yeah, 'sup with the lack of end quotes, Rowan?
It's my Daddy!! My Daddy!!!! And Fox barely has any clips from this episode, save for the admittedly good Robot College bit and two others.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT SEX IS!!! WHAT IS SEEEX?!!?!
A nickel!!!
You need not go to the Berks, Mrs David Tennant. I live half an hour north of White Plains NY (where Ted's future home is), and I can tell you that Catamount and Thunder Ridge are well under an hour from Westchester county, so it *could* be accomplished in under 12 hours. Especially given how crazily determined we…
Before the end of the series, someone has to get on top piling together every last minute, second, and breath of Bob Saget's narration (via YouTube, of course), because then we can finally know how long Ted's meandering story actually is. Bets on final length, anyone?
It was? No sarc? Please tell me the background on that one, because I thought vodka was the only go-to food for that country.
But episodes like these always need a little bit of whimsy and mindless B plots to balance out the serious stuff. I think sex tape bet + Russian butter festival C plot/quasi-MacGuffin device accomplishes it sufficiently.

In the off chance that the writers read our thread, I think a good way to avoid the age issue would be to have the final scene be the kids doing voice over (switcheroo on Ted after all these seasons!) while the audience views Ted and the mother sitting next to each other after finally "finishing" the story, that way…
Meh, I'll give you longshot and fun, but it would be too much of a bummer to have your future wife get divorced to be with you, wouldn't it?
…but then, we still got Marhsall's "Not yet!", so we still have two additional seasons (was it 1 or 2?) peeking out of the door.
Lord_Tubbington - I've felt for sometime (at least since Victoria's scene at the beginning of the season about Ted's being stuck in neutral per Robin/Barney) that Robin must somehow have a pre-existing connection with the mother. It seems like a more natural way that Ted could ultimately demolish any romantic/sexual…
That being said, I still loved & hated Marshall's closing "Not yet!". Oh, HIMYM, how I love you so much, including when you irk me slightly
I've begun to suspect that the mother will already know Robin prior to Ted meeting her (insert Labyrinthine-yet-somehow-simple way that Robin and the mother know each other), and that is how ultimately Ted can bury any romantic confused feelings he ever had toward Robin. Then he could just love Robin as the friend…
At least a weird ending might save us all from (inevitably?) critiquing ad nauseum whomever the actress is that is chosen as the mother.
+1 . Peele blows Armisen out of the water. But I like Peele's new show, so…
As a 20something who knows of the Cosby Show almost exclusively from I Love the 80s (scratch that, it's I Love the 80s PLUS whenever some annual Black History month CNN special airs a clip from the show. Yup, that's the sum of my exposure), I still loved the sketch if only because it made the Obamas funny, even if it…
