@avclub-489acfbfa4d2424403acb81699170ac2:disqus I like Harmon, but nobody should be sentenced (read: sentenced!) to work on a show for 20 seasons. My condolences to the any Simpsons voice-actor: they need freedom…

Maybe, maybe it'll join Cougar Town…

I love Scrubs, and as sorta odd and manic as it is, it's pretty indebted to sitcoms. I wouldn't be surprised if the episode where Turk gets his hand stuck in a vending machine was a direct homage to The Simpsons.

You mentioned two sitcom staples: hand caught in vending machine and high school reunion. I feel proud to say I rewatched both those Simpsons episodes.

I'd vote that for one episode, a character calls in sick and we follow him throughout his day. And nothing eventful happens. That'd catch people by surprise.

Glad I'm not alone. I think the hooks got to me. I mean the animal device was clever, but I at the moment I read about using hooks to separate bodies, I didn't I just feel nauseous, I was completely thrown off my axis. It's still one of my favorite books, but it's a heavy read.

For some odd reason, Maus still gets to me. It's a book that made me nauseous once.

Hey, I can handle a pointless meme like CANCERAIDS or the rest of the stupid shit, I can't handle the stupidity of a guy blathering on about no sex before marriage 50 years ago. Mad Men taught me that. And TV would never lie to me about those kinds of things, right?
