It's on topic to say (given the quote used above), Bowie needs one of these. He's just too much a ritzy cat and needs the treatment - I know about the Primer, but it was a few years old and needs a rebooting…

I kind of get the impression we are supposed to look at him clinically - don't let your emotions run rampant, it's about looking at the muddy and difficult gender relationships and sexual mores. So 'he's allowed' to hit Virginia, but it's because of the imbalance in terms of gender dynamics. This might not be Mad Men

Oh Master Hugh has finally found a true love.

I really liked Lanquidity - it strikes me as a little closer to Herbie Hancock circa early 70's, but a little odder - and Space is the Place.

It might be a primer. I like both Sun Ra and George Clinton, but when I want my difficult, vaguely Afrofuturist narratives, I think I'll lean towards Prince - he just did anything.

But it's corny in a JT way. I don't feel the need to justify my love for him. It's just a natural fact that he's awesome.

It's a testament to her talent that no one really agrees on the high point of the album. Frankly, this record is going to grow on a lot of people - it kinda hit me right off the bat - and in a few years you'll look back and point to how awesome the jams are. It's an exciting time in pop music if Monae is kicking

QUEEN, as far as I've heard, hasn't played in many gay clubs. I'm hoping it'll catch on - the song is hella catchy and the booty don't lie, after all.

It's rare to have a pop star so capable at switching gears so completely. I think he's my favorite musician because he so completely engages in novelty - German experimental music, punk rock, free jazz, art songs, cabaret, disco, etc. I found out about all of that because of Bowie.

"Heroes" and Lodger are pretty amazing as well! I recommend them highly. Aladdin Sane warrants a listen.

Misspelling "therapy" depressed me.

@avclub-782066c88e9c574d6085f3ddfc7032e4:disqus  Carmela was extremely well drawn. College solidified the main conflict of Carmela as a character - whether to accept a life of sin or escape. But that's besides the point, I think the wealth of characters in the Sopranos - male or female - saves it from out and out

I don't watch the show, in part because my reservations about the sexism inherent in the show's make-up made me uncomfortable. Skyler, in the first episodes I watched, was a shrill character. Judging by comments from fans later on, she never really evolved beyond that. Not enough of an inner life - no Carmela Soprano

I remember that! But the camera pan to Orsen Welles is pretty awesome and amazing!

They might have actually: having watched every Simpsons episode (from the Golden Years) there are a number of subtle allusions. Does anyone know if they spoofed the opera scene?

I was about to bring up Calvin and Hobbes, but now I feel conflicted, having read that statement…

No man who speaks German can be evil!

Eye of the tiger, mouth of the teamster!

Are we so vain?

Best episode: Rosebud.
Worst episode: Lady Gaga's one episode slog.
