I must admit, he's clearly right. The jokes in this Halloween special were obviously funny, clever, and too smart by half. Therefore, they were awful.

Thank you! I kinda need the kick in the pants that is TV Club Classic to start watching old shows I loved. But it's nice to see the more recent episodes covered.

Thanks! I hadn't heard about it.

I've no doubt this has been asked in these comments before, but will there be a King of the Hill TV Club review?

I'm playing Heroes at my wedding and my funeral. It's fitting!

I think SIgur Ros is pretty much the crossover hit of post-rock, if you can call it that. It might not be my jam, but it's an easy introduction to a sometimes difficult - and nebulous - musical genre that thrives in unusual musical compositions.

I liked the first episode, if only because it involves Emily and Lorelai forced to wear mother-daughter ensemble. It might not be my favorite episode, but it involves Emily, so I'm good.

It depends, though. Scrubs uses JD's narration as a thematic link between disparate storylines, but not as a perspectival thing. As in, his narration doesn't impede the narration of events.
Allen's narration is cast in doubt, and is therefore unreliable narration.
Both are successful, but need distinction.

Voice-over is interesting, I think, because it indicates a clear authorial bent to the series itself, and thus casts doubts on how events unfurl - at least that'd be the case for literature. Annie Hall is an example of that style of myopic scope. I'm not disparaging the film. It's an all-time favorite. Scrubs, to my

Oh what a world!!

Time to tear through Friends. Is it weird I know more about Cougar Town than I do Friends?
