Hey, I can handle a pointless meme like CANCERAIDS or the rest of the stupid shit, I can't handle the stupidity of a guy blathering on about no sex before marriage 50 years ago. Mad Men taught me that. And TV would never lie to me about those kinds of things, right?

I wouldn't want to be Woody Allen.

You're stupid if you think there was no such thing as sex outside of a marriage 50 years ago. I am Catholic, but this is the dumbest string of pointlessness I've read on this site.

I knew that Costello would be included. He's synonymous with ridiculously awkward sex, I would think. I'm a little startled that there are no Joni Mitchell songs, though. She was pretty honest back then. Something like Raised On Robbery would be a flawless example.

I forge the episode or the moment, but one of the most awkward family things happened watching Everybody Loves Raymond. I grew up in an Italian household, and when I came out of the closet, I was drained from a difficult conversation with the parents, so I go to the TV room and my little brother is watching that show.

I love that about HBO and some of the networks. Arrested Development was poorly treated, but it was given three seasons with bad ratings. Three of the best seasons ever from the network that had a giant like The Simpsons. Community is ongoing for four seasons. It's poorly treated, but count your blessings, four

Because even The Wire was slightly indebted to The Sopranos. And so is Breaking Bad. And Mad Men. Every major drama since has a bit of Sopranos' blood in it. It might not be the best drama, but it's in the top five, like The Simpsons and Cheers are among the best comedies.

And maybe Short Cuts, Magnolia and Husbands and Wives. Maybe…probably not.

I have a 1982 Chateau La Tour and a rather indifferent Rose en Saigle.

Tom Waits?

Tom Waits?

I wouldn't say bad, per se, but not on par with the usual Simpsons genius. It's funny, mind you, and clever, but the better episodes still taught me many things, like what the music to tighten up to is and about musical theatre…
