Ozzy was also an important part of the minority alliance that triumphed against all odds.  Eddie is a superfluous part of a minority alliance who might be allowed to come to the end as a goat.

@bampote:disqus She's definitely up there in the top 2 or 3, but for me, it's the Yau-man.

"The Potato."

It's very similar to what happened to Corinne: she got itching to make a big move, and got cut loose.  The Cochran- Dawn rule seems to be: start plotting a blindside, and you will get blindsided.

Based on her confessionals, I'd be willing to bet she comes across as deeply deluded at FTC, too.  I agree with mratfink: the favourites all regard her as a nonentity/pawn/ballast, and that's the majority of the jury; she isn't hot enough, nor a bro, to get Eddie and Reynold's votes; she could maybe swing Michael, but

Yes.  Yes, you can.

You guys need to swing a trade for Marc, and get the trifecta.

Thanks — and I agree about Zola.  I haven't read Germinal yet, though I know it's supposed to be his masterpiece; of the ones I've read so far, I think Belly of Paris has been my favourite, but they're all phenomenal.

After a break to read that new Leskov translation that came out (which was awesome, incidentally), I'm back on the Zola train: finishing up Nana right now, then on to Germinal and la Bete Humaine.

Bone in or boneless?  If it's boneless, I would definitely pan-fry it.  If it's bone-in, baking should be fine.

Thanks, Buzz.  It's funny how shy I feel talking about my, uh, other life as a "real" writer here.  So it's nice to be getting this kind of response, and from people I really like, too.

Yeah, it's funny how the "tax-free" part makes it extra sweet.  In your face, Canadian government!

Thanks, Craig.  I got to admit, it does feel kind of nice.

Gratuitous self-promotion time:

Along with fistfuls of drugged jellybeans.

@avclub-eee6e49e09ab1c283e2d7689d45a7b4b:disqus I like Courtney a lot too, but I have to agree with  @Ike1:disqus that China was kind of a trainwreck season.

Andrea's incipient paranoia might be her downfall.  Agreed about Cochran and Dawn, but I've got a real feeling that Erik could be a dark horse here.  I can legitimately envision him, now, as a surprise winner.

If he wasn't, he should have been, if only to keep it out of the Bros' hands.  That's kind of Survivor 101.

That was my initial thought too — also because the hidden idol is a moveable piece. (You can transfer the real immunity idol, but you have to do it before the vote.)

We shouldn't, maybe, underestimate the sincerity of Malcolm's "fun sponge" speech last week.  If he made some unnecessarily risky moves (that could've panned out spectacularly with a little luck and better allies) it was partly because he was having fun.  Not the worst attitude in the world.
