The image on this article reminded me of a question: What does the Wormhole entrance look like from the other side?

Not enough room in the review to highlight everything great about this episode, but it's an awesome showcase for Simon's cunning side. Contrasted with his bumbling in Jaynestown (but, SPOILERS, compared to his infiltration at the beginning of the film) we can see how much a bit of preparation combined with a familiar

One of the many things that endear Wash to me is his complete fearlessness of the ship's two alpha males. He seems blithely unconcerned with machismo, either in himself or others. In this episode, he does comply with the captain's orders, but he doesn't hide his resentment, and he's not afraid to get in a yelling

This is a fine caper episode, but it's also (for the first half) a thoughtful exploration of cultural themes, the sort Star Trek usually trades in. It's not too hard to imagine Kirk or Picard getting inadvertently saddled with a wife, and having to educate her in Terran (Western) ideals of gender equality and

Isn't 20,000 Leagues already gayer than Sherlock Holmes? The latter at least has Irene Adler. 20,000 Leagues doesn't have a single female character with the possible exception of the squid, and I'd rather not contemplate that.

"It's interesting that Noel brings up the lack of narrative support for Mal coming back; it never really occurs to me that he wouldn't."

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus , that analysis does add an additional tragic dimension to the proceedings: Jayne contemplates turning the Tams over because they're dangerous, River senses this and attacks him, and Jayne becomes more set in his plan. It's a self-fulfilling death-spiral that isn't averted until the film.

I'm told that River strips the labels off those cans of food because they bear the logo of the Blue Sun corporation, which I suppose is connected to her captivity. Just a little plot thread they never had the chance to develop.

    I agree.

    I agree.

But you know Dax would just sext him back.
