America Chavez with an all time great superhero entrance this week

It basically is a mini-series, or an anthology title. Cho's run ends after 5 issues, and then Zeb Wells and Joe Mad are coming on for a story, and that obviously will be one with a finite life expectancy as well.

the only Franklin romance that matters is his BRO-mance with Marcus

Giaman is going to be co-writing at least one issue (#5) with Bendis

Are you really trying to tell me a video came tie in comic that featured Superman accidentally throwing his pregnant wife into space where she asphyxiated is "good" ?

I paid 1.99 but will probably pay more for the next issue just because
I liked it so much and want to support this.

I really think we are the beginning of something special with Hickman's New Avengers. I almost can't believe Marvel is letting him tell this story. It's so incredibly bleak and grim but not in that tiresome, terrible 90s way that a lot of DC's current output is trying to emulate.

One thing I really enjoyed about this book being designed specifically
for digital reading is that the entire thing is layed out in landscape, it gives the book a widescreen feel and allows for story flow that feels extremely different from reading something on pages, where every single one of these layouts would be

there's not enough material in book 3 to cover 2 full seasons, we are getting about 60-75% of book 3 this year, and then we're gonna start getting to book 4 and 5 stuff as soon as late next season

manuscript pages is not the same as printed pages

this dosen't actually involve any writing, the first 3 Dunk and Egg stories are already written, and while he's talked about wanting to do eventually 10 of those in the past - this interview makes it sound like he's considering the tv series as an alternative way to get those stories done, as opposed to actually

I feel pretty confident Winds of Winter will be done before the show reaches that point.

I actually think the Dunk and Egg stories probably translate to TV much better than the ASOIAF novels do.

@avclub-fcfcac2db1b067e67846e75a38bbfb65:disqus He does eventually give his own life to spare Sherridan and Delenn and David, but by necessity it's left to Vir to clean up most of the messes he made.

Is it really a "stunt" if it's an organic and important part of the story he is telling?

@avclub-e95a45d0b1f5afdf0ab9cde82b4b1d06:disqus I haven't read Wolverine: Origins but I still feel confident saying that anything Jason Aaron has planned with Dog Logan is superior to whatever Daniel Way did with him.

@avclub-82cf46948ca0f531a256e38473c9282f:disqus it got worse with Sins Past, but the spider-totem stuff was always terrible and out of place

I'm excited to meet the rest of the kids, I thought the idea that Eva (an australian) was a huge Captain America fangirl was cute.

Uncanny X-Men #3 totally refueled my excitement about the book, It had been arguably the book I was most excited for before the first issue came out and then the first two issues were… fine.

The only superhero stuff JMS has done that's any good in my opinion is his Thor, it fits his grandiose and epic tendencies and the juxtaposition of seeing divine beings acting out his hokey little comedy beats adds an extra layer which his humour sorely needs.
