The Beatles’ HELP! The movie album, not the regular album. I love it for George Martin’s James Bond-style instrumentals, especially this riff on “You Can’t Do That”:

Caitlin forgot to mention that in order to enjoy the HAROLD AND MAUDE soundtrack there are essentially two options: splice together a playlist from three different Cat Stevens albums, or pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for the album finally produced in 2007.

Given this season’s commitment to socio-political metaphor, I’m surprised the show didn’t make more out of the idea of Supergirl having to deal with a literal Toxic Atmosphere.

Well, that was quick. At least we got “Welcome to Otisb...”

    Tilda as Klytus.

I don’t often hit Pause to just sit and laugh helplessly in the middle of a show, but when I do it’s for stuff on the level of “He tried to invent a sport that was a cross between dodgeball and horseshoes and everybody died.”

This news kicks ass... for the Lord.

    With graphs and charts!

I’m content to catch the occasional glimpse of Eleanor’s bellybutton beneath that perfectly cropped top. As for Tahani, I believe she favors those loose billowy outfits to spare us from bursting into flame in her presence.

    “Chidi’s parts.”

Her sobbing “No, YOU shut up” was the kicker.

    It’s called Dynamic Tension!

    so true

It used to be much more common. All the Star Treks through ENT had onscreen ep titles. I think the first time I became aware that TV eps could still have titles even if they didn’t show onscreen was “Buffy”. Now that we have the internet the titles are always out there if we want them.

    Otisburg?

Yeah, the writers should have found a better way to portray her wrongheadedness there. At least they lampshaded it with J’onn pointing out that looking like a pretty white human is Kara’s privilege.

Followed by him gesturing with the collapsible saucepan.

Maybe the cleverest moment in the film, but also the most inconsequential: The sequence where Posey’s car goes on a remote-controlled rampage. See, the car is a green Mustang fastback, which means that Supes has to catch a speeding BULLITT. So... that’s cool I guess?

    Cheddar the dog?

I’m not the first to theorize that Marvel has been preparing to reacquire the FF and that this has been reflected onscreen by putting Stark Tower on the market. Ready-made Baxter Building, anyone?
