You’re calling “The Court Jester” a forgettable movie?!?

True Lies walked so The Long Kiss Goodnight could run slowly limp.
and i think you got so horned up to dunk on me you stopped reading what i was actually saying.
i’d even go as far as saying that advance ticket sales/pre-selected seats fucked theatres even before that.
That was Skaar, Son of the Hulk. Hulkling actually has nothing whatsoever to do with the Hulk, he’s the son of Captain Mar-Vell and a Skrull Princess.
Hulking is a half-Kree, half-Skrull guy with the abilities of both that takes on the Hulking identity to hide his origin at first. He’s not actually related to Banner in any way. The guy in She-Hulk is Hulk’s actual son Skaar, and I assume, an absolute narrative dead end.
That was his son, Skaar or something, whereas Hulkling has a wildly different backstory and a confusing name they just never got around to shifting to match his actual origin story.
I don’t see how they make Young Avengers work given how long it takes them to make these movies once they’re announced. Ms. Marvel, Ant Girl and Hawkeye 2.0 will be in their early thirties by the time the movie comes out.
I haven’t read this in a decade. Still a great interview!
She was good in Ben & Kate. Give her more comedy.
She was incredibly funny in the sitcom Ben & Kate, which really played to her dry and awkward style. She doesn’t seem to have a lot of range though, and she keeps ending up in roles that really aren’t written right at her.
God bless Nike money.
I feel like people forget how recent Luca and Turning Red are when talking about Pixar, they obviously got Fuuuuucked by the D+ release but I keep hearing “Pixar has sucked for years!” and then, when reminded of the D+ ones, respond “Oh yeah, those were pretty good actually.”
I read it as being about giving up on your dreams in life, and I guess not living as your real gender is basically that. When he watches the show again at the end and doesn’t recognize it, I felt like despite what Maddy was saying, sometimes it is too late.
After watching TV glow I hunted down ‘Pete & Pete’ (I had never seen it either). I could only find the pilot, but it was worth a watch! I can definitely see it as an influence on ‘TV Glow’; it’s a weird combination of simultaneously being an obvious comedy, but still having sort of a weird, liminal, slightly wistful…
This reference made me feel so old. Not Johnny Carson and Doc Severinsen, or David Letterman and Paul Schaffer, or even Conan O’Brien and Max Weinberg, but Leno and Eubanks?!
“try imagining a version of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno without Kevin Eubanks.”
- yeah...no, I’m totally fine with that.
“Fronted by Meyers’ old SNL buddy Fred Armisen, the band would see its famous guitarist entering and exiting the group over the next 12 years as Janney, guitarist Seth Jabour, and bassist Syd Butler dutifully played walk-on music over for the host’s guests daily. 8G differentiated itself from previous late-night bands…
Funny enough, me was just listening to Very Good Year podcast, and they mention that film and how good Lahti is in it. Then not five minutes later, me get notification about this Random Roles.
I expect that any bad feelings she might’ve had about the changes to Swing Shift probably lessened dramatically at the moment she scored an Academy Award nod for her performance.
