You seem to have missed a significant part of this feature. When you sign up you have the option to either use your email, OR use a randomly generated Apple one. That random one is permanent, and the app can email you there and Apple forwards the email to your actual address. So the vendors can still reach you. But…

So they should have delayed this further until AMD released their Xeon equivalent with PCI-E 4.0 support? If you’re always chasing the new thing... well you’re always chasing. You gotta draw a line and release something (or in the consumers case, buy something) or else you’ll always be going after that brand new thing…
