I've worked at a lot of places, and the competence of the staff always has reflected the competence of the on-site manager (which usually, but not always, reflects the competence of the upper managers). It barely matters who gets hired, what matters is whether they are inspired to do their best work. The slackers

@badhairday: HR is always the last to go, because they have to do the lay-off processing. It's the ultimate in job security.

Dunno if I'd stack them like that, because of the weight factor. I'd use scraps to make legs, and maybe add skids between the legs to make them sturdier and easier to slide. Adjusting the length of the legs would give you a nicer angle for the seat, as well.

Depending on the design of your house, cooling the attic can make a very big difference. A friend of mine installed a roof turbine and dropped the temperature in his attic (which was more of a crawl space) by 20F.
