This is one of the few games I would consider to be a miracle to have been localized, not only because of the obscurity of most of Tatsunoko’s characters, but because I think at the time, the licenses for a number of their characters (and their respective series) were split between multiple companies over here. Though

If I remember, it also aired in the same block as The Incredible Hulk. The memories of UPN Kids.

I never knew I needed the suspend feature until the DS came out. Played through Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow this one time: too far away from a save point, so little time, just closing the handheld to suspend it, it was amazing. I glad to see now home consoles like the Switch (though that doubles as a handheld) and PS4

I’m in the same boat as you. Maybe because I am also pretty fond of fonts helping prop up the experience in a small way. Had to deal with that on the Wii ports of Guitar Hero 3 (used a “typewriter” style font) and I think the first Black Ops (used a more generic sans serif font). Oddly all three examples are

Makes me wonder if part of this is why Capcom is or was the Japanese publisher for the GTA series for some time.

For some reason, reading this reminds of of this company I used to work for. I was an assembler there, and the folks there are known to work upwards of 50-60-hours because of optional overtime. I was scheduled the typical 40 hour work week, done deal, no more no less, since I saw this as a temp job while I tried to

Then the ones who would’ve loved it may end up hating it once they got in and worked a while.

At this point, I’d imagine it’ll be more like a DS Lite/XL, XBox One S, or PS4 Slim style upgrade. Better battery, more efficient hardware revisions that uses less power, more internal storage. It’s way too early to talk about a N3DS/XBOX/PS4Pro style “power” upgrade. I’ll give that maybe another two years.

I know that Armature Studio was tapped to make a Megaman X FPS trilogy. While the gameplay seems typical in my eyes, the story they had with X eventually going maverick himself in the third game after becoming too powerful and Zero is send in to kill him intrigued me. But a Vanquish-style Megaman X game, thumbs up.

That’s a pretty “shitty” reference. :3

One of the things that got me when I read the headline was “what are CBS’s guidelines on fanworks again?”. Though I’m not sure if they only meant movies or in general. As much as I want to see something like this become official, I’d imagine there would be another whirl of legal entanglement if a fanwork becomes part

The Japanese title for the RE2 remake is “Biohazard RE:2"? (Haven’t been following it mux.) I know the “RE” in this case stands more for “remake”, but I want to think it is continuing on RE7's naming scheme and that “RE” stands for “Resident Evil”, and wished that “Biohazard” was somehow fitted into the remake’s title

I want to say that Uematsu’s looks to be the most sprite-like, Final Fantasy V comes to mind.

I have a PC, and pretty soon a PS4, but nowadays I’ll game more on the Switch given its portability. Like I originally thought about getting Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on the PC after getting a new graphics card (mine’s currently well over six years old and just out of spec), but the announcement for the Switch

Don’t feel too bad about needing to fulfill some requirement in being justified owning a game’s merch. If you don’t like the gameplay, did you like the other aspects such as the characters? Not to mention Overwatch is a multimedia franchise, so if you don’t really like the game, there are other avenues, such as the

Originally I didn’t like the offset Smash logo. But then I realized, the vertical stripe of the logo is perfectly aligned in the center of the controller. Nice design choice there. Would be nice to have as a second pro controller, but I got the Xenoblade 2, which has a nice design as well.

It has been a very long while, but I think Paypal did something like this as well. So something like this as a more advanced form of age gating, I can see Steam using it that way.

Interesting to see Grandia 1 getting a remaster treatment. Grandia 2 is always good. Hmm, no Grandia 3 or Xtreme for completion’s sake? Even though I know the later titles aren’t as well remembered/talked about relatively. (Did liked III a fair bit.)

A remastered port of the Lunar series would be nice. But the thing about Wild Arms is that that is a Sony IP, so outside of mobile, we won’t see that one on a non-Playstation platform.

Yeah, having messenger bag helps too, thankfully the cases I use to house my Switch and New 2DS XL are the Insignia Switch and LoZ Adventurer’s Pouch cases, so they are thin enough to offer basic protection and not take up much space alongside my Surface Pro 3. Though I’ll admit, my bag would look already full at this
