Blizzard make some incredibly well polished and well designed games, and their cutscenes are top tier, and also a very poor representation of the games... yeah, expected, as the cutscenes tell the story, not the gameplay.

Let me do a pre-post of the common comments so we can avoid clutter.

THIS! I was playing this last night and (didn't even realize that it was Peter Dinkage) all I could think about was:
1) Who the hell is talking to me?
2) Why do they sound like they're about to fall asleep?
3) This HAS to be placeholder...right?

To be fair yes the Wii U has 6-7 million compared to XOne's 5-6 million the thing is that the Wii U has been out nearly 2 years while the XOne has been out for only 6 months. Also with the Wii U you have to make use of the touchpad which requires extra dev time which you don't have to for any other platform.

Between Uplay, game downgrades, sitting on completed Wii U games because they "don't have a big enough marketshare" (Wii U has over a million more consoles right now than the Xbox One though...), 15+ pre-order versions and bonus requiring a spreadsheet, and the #womenaretoohardtoanimate backlash, Ubisoft is really not

Now playing

I feel like this and Triple Deluxe should be on opposite platforms

It's a great marketing strategy and true.

Must be a typo: "70% off Games You'll Be Able to Play in Three Weeks After The Servers Are Stabilized"

You act like you haven't seen my avatar for the past month.

butt animations you say? let the gifs commence. ^_^

I don't think we drill that stuff into reader's heads. I think the ethos here has always been to talk about what we think people care about. Fact is, people care about that stuff. I may not agree with the obsession, but it's there. Granted, we'll always talk about what we think you should care about too. As with any

Well one thing is clear. The zippers/buckles and stuff certainly look better this gen. I wish I were Tetsuya Nomura right now!

It may not be as pretty as what we first saw but you know what? It's still really fun to play. And that's all that should matter. But no, sites like Kotaku and GameSpot continually drill frame-rate and resolution into their reader's heads and all of sudden people think it's super fucking important that a game is at

"No."

Random thought: could they launch this alongside a new Virtual Console program for GameCube games? (PLEASE?)

So by the time they come out the specs will be a couple years old... just like consoles?

Look, there is an easy way to determine which of these two is the better game for you:

Which one is the game your friends are already currently playing?

That's it.

Fanboys from both sides will try and tell you why each of the two is "the best" but ignore them. They're already biased and generally won't even begin to

We can't review the game until one of us has played through it. We can't play through it by launch day unless we have the game before launch day. Ubisoft did not send us a copy prior to launch day, so our reviewer is doing his best to play through the game now and then will file a review once he's done. Definitely not

Now they need to patch Civ 5.
