Do not underestimate the badassery of a dedicated bike cop. I watched a Vancouver bike cop chase a guy who was on foot. The guy thought he had the cop beat when he lept off a long loading dock with a three foot drop. The cop took the drop on the bike, pedalled out of it, then lept from the bike onto the bad guy.
