So I’ve actually heard this advice in Russia, regarding rural routes where help is unlikely to arrive. The idea being that if you steer INTO an (unrecoverable) skid, your car is more likely to continue traveling in a STRAIGHT LINE, thus increasing your chances of coming to a stop on the road surface and not in the

Amazing jab at CVT preference, bravo.

A 165HP electric motor combined with a 654HP ICE make a combined 819HP?

Good visibility. My manual Subaru Forester doesn’t have Subaru EyeSight, but the ability to quickly check all blindspots / mirrors more than makes up for it.

I’ve got a ‘15 Forester, so certainly the same switchgear as most of those that you listed. The way it works is that if you turn on the car, turn on low beams, then turn off the car, the action of pulling the key out of the ignition will cause the low beams to automatically switch off.

Didn’t have to change a thing, comrade!

Agreed.

Is that a Camaro wagon?

TIL someone in Russia drives Eddie’s R34 and I wonder what I’ve been doing with my life.

Yep, with drive-by-wire cars, it hasn’t been directly actuating the throttle pedal for a while.

Reminder that the Accord 2.0t is available with a manual transmission. The only thing the Legacy has over the Accord is AWD; the Accord is much cheaper, faster, returns similar fuel economy, and buying one helps Save The Manuals™.

Wheels, tires, body panels, glass, brakes, lights, interior, etc., etc. are all valuable and don’t phone home. Probably even the battery pack / motors.
