I am reminded of one Christmas when I was a kid. I was opening a present and got super excited to see what was apparently a set of TMNT action figures. But it turned out to be a case for STORING the figures, not any of the figures themselves. Same energy!

Clearly this is an endorsement of recording the show to a DVD at home, and using the fancy new case to store it.

Enjoy that streaming show but concerned it might disappear? Build your own back-ups.

Still better than an NFT.

I saw one of Musk’s defenders on Twitter this morning claim that everything will be called “X”. A basic post? X. A reply to someone else? X. Retweet? X. Quote Tweet? X. They claimed “It’s so simple, it’s genius.” which immediately reminded me of this:

I dunno, the blue check crowd still seems firmly up his ass. Saw a gif last night of someone ordering a flight to Mars on a credit card sized X tablet.

I’m truly surprised he didn’t change the name to simply Musk.com. In which case, instead of Tweeting, users would Spray.

Musk is easily the best example of why we should dramatically raise taxes on wealth, eliminate the loopholes that allow billionaires to borrow against their stock options to live and pay not taxes, and that, as it stands, billionaires should not exist in the US.  So much money, no fucking sense, and he confuses his

I mean, it’s pretty clear that AMPTP is not negotiating in good faith when the guild proposes things like “update the penalties for ‘not having a lunchbreak’ or ‘not paying people on time’ because these haven’t been updated since 1961" and the studio’s response is basically “nah.”

At this rate 2024 is gonna be the year of indie films. 39 indie films, including 2 A24 ones, got approval to resume work.

please don’t boycott or start a consumer strike! neither guild has asked for that and to do so without a collective response wouldn’t make much impact. if there is a call to boycott we will likely report it.
