I guess Audi specifically, since I hear the longitudinal mount 1.8T’s were the problematic ones, ended up scaling back on the change interval after they found out that it was causing sludge issues. I think it went to 5k instead of the 7500 or 10k it was. In true OEM form, they didn’t chose to do anything like a recall

In the next issue of Make magazine: converting your Dornier Do-X to electric!

Dude! It's cold! Plus now that I'm no longer "the asshole on YouTube with a Ferrari," I can wear clothes that don't make me look like a total dork. Just a regular dork.

We were leaving a concert in Detroit. Pulling out of the parking garage my buddies alternator belt let's go. We pull over untangle it from the fan and go wtf. It's midnight in Detroit and we got a 2 and half hour drive. That pos battery in my buddies 77 cutlass ain't gonna get us home. Girls are freaking out by now

^^ My FD RX7. The abridged story goes like this...

Audi TT RS. Absolutely love it. Best car I ever had.

But it's sooooo damn good looking.

2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe

That generation EJ25 were horrible bad for reliability because of the introduction of the wrong coolant (Subaru at the time used phosphate based, normal car coolant is glycol based), thus would cause the head gaskets to prematurely fail, leading to all sorts of bad things. The EJ251 also exhibited head gasket issues.

If it was some heat resistant plastic like the ones they use in spatulas or something, you might get a couple revolutions out of it before it melts in a toxic blast of fumes and gasoline. I think someone should do it, even though it probably doesn't have things like seals or actual working/sealing valves but I think

I did. He was stopping me from entering the garage, only repeating that "Only compact spots left". The discussion wasn't holding my interest, so I asked him to show me any definition of "Compact car" that says anything shorter than 153 inches, then drove in.

Very very rare. Only a few hundred. Wagons are even rarer. I got very lucky, and yes I specifically wanted a gas truck.

Yeah but he's got an FJ Cruiser so

It's a gas Chevy V8 — 190hp and like 350lb-ft. Not bad — but not good either.

"If you think you hate it now, wait 'til you drive it." (Or something like that.)

Absolute, utter CP.

Torch...class act move to show appreciation...I am glad your Beetle was returned (and read of saga originally intently)...and am glad that you are doing a solid for SF.

I mean, the repair shop probably did a better job of putting it back together than the factory.

We would also need a "don't be a dick because they person behind you wants to go faster than you" sign. People only ride the booty because they're forced to. There's no shame in letting someone by.

'The central-inflation system was almost as fun. With a click you could purge the tires of air for squeezing under a low overhang (or driving in sand I guess) and then re-inflate as needed."
