Hey everyone,
Hey everyone,
While intent certainly matters, there’s no intent behind hanging a noose that makes it ok. The fact that it wasn’t an attack directed specifically at Wallace is the slimmest possible silver lining here.
Same here. Did it a few times as a kid because the tie setup intrigued me and I wanted to see if I could do it. That’s it.
I’ve spent a number of years sailing, and as such, have learned quite a few different knots for various scenarios.
Is this really a hill worth fighting for?
I’m from outside of US, and have most definitely tied real and fake nooses many times. For me it was because of rock climbing + scouting (it’s one of knots denoting function)+ yes, adolescent edgilordness.
But my point is that although I can believe the person who tied it…
I think you have just underscored an important thing our society is struggling to grasp right now - being ignorant to racism is bad, too, and part of the problem.
Most people wouldn’t know it’s something racist because racism isn’t something that most people think about all the time. I don’t go looking for stuff that might be considered racist, I go about my day without thinking racism at all. I’m not gonna start looking for stuff that might hurt someone’s feelings either.
Actually you do...or at least bored kids did when I was a kid. Not for a merit badge but when you learn knots that’s one of them and goofy boys found it fun to try to tie the noose knot just to impress themselves and their buddies.
Here’s my take. It’s unfortunate that Bubba Wallace got assigned to the one stall where one guy was bored and tied a noose.
The vehicle’s main weakness is its engine. The 2.5-liter four-banger Toyota’s named “Dynamic Force” claims a modest 206 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque.
Not as infuriating as GM’s “Hey let’s use the reverse lights as supplemental parking lights when you park”.
Perfectly said. I like all the F&F movies. But the first is the best, and, perhaps shockingly, I thinkits actually aged pretty well.

Ah, then you might appreciate Lonnie Gilbertson’s Hit & Miss Special, a belly tank powered by a single stroke John Deere engine.
Let me save everyone some time. Conclusions - traction control on: Audi slightly better. Traction control off: Audi more sloppy than the others. Trade-offs abound, and no real standout winner.
You’re welcome.
It was due t turnover
There’s a lot of hate for GM in this fable, but realistically Saab had been on life support for a decade before GM came into the picture. And, GM helped a lot with reliability, for one thing.
This thing’s future, trailered to car shows, surrounded by saabing dolls...
I’d like to see somebody who ISN’T seriously fucked up after flipping a car with that much power in to a ditch.
That’s a shitload of downforce.
