One side literally just stormed the US capitol, erected gallows, and threatened to hang politicians. So no, I have zero desire for unity with anyone who supported that, and the fact that we still have politicians who defend it is disgusting.

Right? It’s well known that chips are a year out, I feel like this is more of a finger pointing story? Are they shut down because they can’t get staff due to ill employees but don’t want to be known as an unhealthy place, so claim it’s ‘due to chip shortages’? Granted the chip shortages are a real thing, but also so

The issue is cost. The first meeting is actually a volunteer committee. My company likes me being involved, but paying for travel on this is a bridge too far. Zoom allows me to be active in this stuff “for free”. I’m on a couple of these committees and Zoom has become a big thing for this stuff. (PS, there is a

5th gear: lmao, this is the peak suburban boomer pandering. it’s a match made in heaven/hell I’m not really sure.

I agree. My work laptop tracks everywhere I go online. I know not to watch porn, but they know its actually recommended I take breaks and visit sites like these. Its a good balance.

In one of my rare posts without jokes, I just want to take a moment to say I’m happy Pete Buttigieg is actually looking at infrastructure in a reasonable way. (Preface: Strong Towns is a great book, and it’s also now a podcast series about urban planning, roads, development, etc. There are also some excellent Google

That was a good 15 years ago that Ferrari made a pretty hard turn in the direction of Euro-douche nonsense, not to mention the absurd amount of chav-inspired licensing they sell despite retaining their image of a “luxury lifestyle brand”...

This is gonna screw up my plans to cruise by the senior’s center looking to reel in some newly vaccinated broads all pent up from a year locked down.

GM: “We’re sorry, but due to supply chain issues, your car is two weeks behind schedule.”

Where did you get those shots around NYC?

I am truly impressed at this ambitious project to take a truck with old, often unreliable, running gear and replace it with new, often unreliable, running gear.

I’m actually surprised Harley didn’t just stop building bikes altogether and just make SxS’s and license their name on 5th wheel toy haulers. That’s all the fat, aging swisher-sweet smoking demographic is buying anyway.

I wish that Harley made a modern version of the VR1000

Because only a Harley will do for some people.  Plus, the most likely competition is the Scout 60, and that’s only $500 cheaper.  Don’t get me wrong, I’d choose the Scout over the Harley.  But I also understand there’s a large group of people that want an air cooled bike with a certain... panache?, and only the Harley

It might be that VW is a bit too “European” for the US. *shrug*

the term is “market share,” not “market shares.”

You’re right, but then again, how on earth was something like this ever going to go 100% smooth without a hitch? I can’t say it hasn’t ever happened before that a company as large as VW fundamentally re-invents itself and its product lineup, but there sure hasn’t been many examples, that’s for sure.

They were cheating the tests, and deliberately programmed all their diesels to cheat the test.

And that’s why off-road diesel is red in color.

This. Off road and on road diesel are different colors as well, but I bet very few people ever had their tanks checked. The off road stuff is reddish to indicate tax hasn’t been paid.
