Strangely, when I was in Georgia several years ago liquor stores everywhere I went were happy to accept my UK driving licence as ID, I then borrowed a friends Georgia licence who looks nothing like me, they accepted that, I then tried a 5 year out of date student card that actually was a fake, they accepted that too!
