I hope so too, but auto racing is THE most sponsor-driven sport there is, and NASCAR especially so. If they keep this up after BLM is no longer commercially attractive, and inevitably goes back to being taboo, then I’ll believe them.

I’m black and started watching NASCAR (along with a lot of other motorsports) around when I was a teenager, back when the only black driver was Bill Lester, who didn’t enjoy anywhere near the success Bubba has. I lost interest in NASCAR a few years ago, but Bubba is definitely one of my favorite drivers in it.
