This has been Tesla’s M.O. since they first introduced “Ludicrous Mode”. They have phenomenal acceleration...IF you pre-warm them for 40 mins, IF the battery is above 90% charged, and for less than 2 minutes of continuous use before the car almost craps itself. Teslas are headline-grabbers, not serious speed machines.…

Funnily enough, Old Town Road is/was literally the only #1-listed song that I’ve actually wanted to listen to on the radio (except the version with Young Thug squealing like a tortured pig). I don’t think I’ll ever tire of this song.

I don’t see these having that much of an impact. Most of the stuff that needs fixing or repairing isn’t specific to just engine-powered cars. Yeah, you won’t need oil changes, but these cars do have cooling systems (not sure how that guy in the quote assumed they didn’t), and they still have suspension and steering…

I’m so glad cars weren’t invented before the Constitution was drafted. Otherwise, they’d probably be equally unregulated.

Not to mention Can-Am was almost a free-for-all with the rules, not a series where 95% of the car is spec.

I’ve definitely seen hoodies on campus that say U of M is the Harvard of the West. Plus all of the other Obamas went to Harvard at some point in their lives, so based on that connection, maybe it’s true. While I never got those hoodies, I definitely won’t miss an opportunity to brag about my alma mater though.

Well if you go to that school from out of state, your tuition would be about the same as an Ivy League school. Personally, I chose it (despite green being my favorite color) because they have one of the best engineering programs in the nation, while still fortunately being in-state for me.

That doesn’t matter. It’ll waaaaaaaay overheat before it runs out of juice.

They wouldn’t even have to move overseas. Windsor, Ontario is just 10 minutes away from their current headquarters.

Unfortunately it would probably make them more hazardous for school bus demolition derbies.

I don’t know about fire trucks...they might be required to stay at a scene for a while, and running pumps and lights would use up a ton of juice. Not to mention batteries would eat up valuable storage space for equipment.

Given that GM themselves used that car with that engine in their promotions, including a teaser of the new C8.R itself, I’d say there’s a solid bet that that engine is going into a production Corvette, especially considering that the GTLM/GTE class requires production engine blocks.
