He’s a millionaire? Why does it look like he lives in a college dorm room?

...is there? These are not people that a nuanced argument is effective against. These are not people coming a place of good faith or rational thought. Lil Nas X released his sincere artist’s statement about what the song and video mean. Now all he’s doing is making these people look like the fools they are.

Utica was clearly filling the “lovable weirdo” slot of the season, but the “lovable” eroded very quickly. Her looks are fantastic- the sleeping bag look alone is a gag- but it’s clear she’s far pricklier than she appears. I don’t think Drag Race is her best showcase- I imagine if left to her own devices, she would

I’m kind of stuck on the fact they decided on a Christmas-framed plot for an episode that was never even intended to air near Christmas.

A lot of my fellow NYC gays are fuming that Hell’s Kitchen staple Tina Burner was sent packing, but it was truly past her time. Middling performances and McDonald’s runways do not a winner make. And she even managed to be outshone by the pit crew in her commercial, which is almost impressive.

What was censored in it...?

I really, truly do not understand what work Snyder has produced that has merited such a devoted cult of fans. Is it mostly just the guys who saw 300 when they were in high school and made it part of their shitty personalities?

Every time I think I understand shit like this, I read something about shit like this, and I realize that I never actually understood shit like this.

I’m actually surprised we haven’t seen more historical figures on Snatch Game- doing someone like Harriet Tubman or Mary Stuart basically means you get to create your own character without being immediately compared to the real person, and you can easily mine the contrast between modern behavior and historical

A game with lots of hype and fan devotion despite having very little to go on? What could go wrong?

This special was laughably bad. The stock footage with dramatic music (there was a shot of a box of Kleenex that was presented with all the gravity of a bloody knife), the intense earnestness, the trying to play up the queens’ experiences with COVID when none of them particularly experienced anything more

Well, we’re also getting straight up Diamond and Pearl remakes. This is an entirely separate thing.

I’m glad these streamers spoke up.

The Anthem 2.0 thing always seemed like throwing good money after bad. You can certainly add or remove features after launch, but you can’t really change the concept. And too much time has passed for consumers to be won over- two years is a long time in video gaming.

...except Nintendo also wasn’t marketing the heck out of Metroid Prime 4 and pushing pre-orders for it. We never even got a glimpse of what it looked like. There were regular promotional pushes for this, showing off factions and features. Until last year, it reasonably looked like it was on track for release.

We’re almost two months into this season and... four queens have gone home. This is some dragged out nonsense. Pun unintended. And now we don’t even get a new episode next week! Why are we getting a behind the scenes special less than halfway through the season?

With UK being so fantastic, and this week’s episode in particular being an all-time great episode of any incarnation of Drag Race, period, it was hard not to feel totally let down by this episode. The forced drama, the judging not really matching what we’re seeing, the personalities blurring together- the fact the

I thought the actual ending was fine. At the end of the day, I didn’t really care about the Reapers. As an enemy, they were by design distant and unknowable. It was clear they were gonna be defeated, that was never really in question at any point. And the “how” was... as out there and far fetched as the Reapers

It would be good to know how exactly Nintendo and Universal handled the creation of minor scenic elements like this. Obviously Nintendo maintains strict control over its iconic designs of characters, items, etc- but something like this? Did they send Universal engineers and designers graphics assets to work off of?

Now playing

The sketch you’re thinking of in re: “Hot Damn!” is “Debra’s Time” from the Chris Hemsworth episode- and is indeed the exact same premise, only with a Christmas showtune.
