It's shaped like a Panamera. Instant disqualification!

We sell these through my work and even if I didn't already lust after a Porsche, this would make me do it. Q: How many speed holes do I want on my ignition key? A: ALL THE SPEED HOLES.

Solex could be a pretty bitchin name.

Psyched! I'll try and get some of my coworkers from Pelican Parts to come too!

The lack of a timed lap between the Singer and the 991 is CRIMINAL.

Yeah I mean you pretty much nailed it with the S54 but just to contribute I'll cast the S38B38 from the European e34 M5. Because Ronin.

I'd rather hit myself in the face with a tack hammer repeatedly than suffer the soul crushing existential pain that would accompany driving an ES300 on a daily basis.

Thanks for clarification!

Jason, had you given any thought to a Type 4 swap before you settled on the dual-carbed 1600? I don't know tons about Beetles, but as I understand it, they are more powerful and reliable than the Type 1 motors with cheaper, more available parts? How involved would it have been to do one of these swaps? Just curious.

Jason this is an AWESOME piece. I'd love to see you go to the opposite side of the spectrum and maybe talk to some of the R Gruppe guys or even Magnus Walker, even though he's been a bitttttt overexposed lately. Anyway, I really like your pieces and I think you've been an awesome addition to Jalopnik. Maybe I'll run

That 2.0 with a Corvette-esque transaxle for better weight distribution would be awesome!

And all of them have simultaneously eaten their front ball joints and had MASSIVE electrical failures while understeering their way into their parking spaces.

Bridge-ported tri-rotor Mazda 20b?

I mean, I doubt they got many 4th gen Camaro's in Hungary but because this is Jalopnik, I'll say it: LS1 SWAP.

The 964 should have a fully galvanized body from the factory unless it's been crappily repaired by some hamfisted dingdong.

You, sir, have a very nice SC.

The M3 is gonna cost you a fortune to keep the S14 running as it should. The 964 should be reliable and nice but you might be better off with an earlier 911 SC or Carerra 3.2 (both should be dead reliable) and you can take the money you save and buy a Valentine 1. The GTI is front wheel drive and front wheel drive is

I forgot anyone was even remotely interested in anything that Honda does anymore. They're like Ambien with wheels. Actually, with very few exceptions (NSX, S2000, S800) all Hondas are rolling snoozefests.

The best joke in the automotive world is the sub-20,000 dollar Ferrari.

Didn't Ghiblis have two fuel tanks as well? That V8 was crazy thirsty but if I were a burdened by an excess of cash I'd totally daily drive one of these things and look amazing while doing it.
