I dunno. No real reason I suppose, I just like eye candy particularly when it's German and from the 80s. There aren't a lot of M535i's around but there are nicer ones especially in the Southwest. Mostly my criticism was aimed at the fact that there seems to be very little substance behind most of the more recent

I drove a 924 and a 944 a bunch of years ago when looking for a replacement for an Alfa Romeo I had. They totally turned me off of Porsche until I drove the new Boxster last fall. Maybe I got bad examples but they weren't particularly interesting to drive, a BMW of similar age is better to drive and cheaper to run.

The M535i in this video isn't very nice. Petrolicious has really fallen off with the quality of their videos which is a shame, because the first few were great. Is Josh Clason (of Depth of Speed fame) still doing their stuff? That said, I loved my 87 535is. It wasn't the easiest thing to live with as a daily driver

I have to really force myself to not blow chunks all over the inside of my car when I say any of the Mini Cooper Coupes or coupe convertibles. I think religious wars have been started over things less offensive than those two monstrosities.

BMW Style 65's from the E39 M5. These are not only the classiest stock wheels ever, IMO, they're some of the best looking wheels period.

Possibly the greatest car EVER.

Fisker Karmas are lame but you know what isn't? A possible surplus of bodies on which MAXIMUM BOB LUTZ can build his absolutely brilliant Destino thing. Now, if we could find someone to take the electric drivetrain out of all the Tesla Model S's I see in LA and replace them with giant AMG V8s...

While this current iteration is slightly better looking than in previous years, the Continental remains a car for basketball player's wives to drive to South Coast Plaza and load up on powder pink python skin Gucci jackets for their small, badly behaved children.

This coupled with the fact that the 500s are fond of eating their electric power steering racks almost makes me hate them. THEN I remember the 500 Abarth is almost the most fun I've had behind the wheel ever and all is forgiven.

BRE Datsun 510 had the single greatest engine sound maybe ever. Vicious and almost musical at the same time. E46 M3 CSL is a close second followed by the classic Alfa twin cam 4 cylinder with dual Webers.

I would agree that the current range of BMW interiors lack focus. I definitely don't think they're as bad as you seem to think they are. I've been in the new M5, I've been in all the new Audis (the interiors of which people seem to love, I don't get it. The materials are terrible and so are the ergonomics), the newest

I think it would be a tie between a 72 Datsun 510 2-door with a race-built FJ20 motor and a finned Cadillac with a tuned Cummins 6-cylinder turbodiesel.

I agree that it is heresy. It's not the worst looking thing I've ever seen but it is so intrinsically wrong that I just can't get behind it.

He's playing Space Invaders and is generally amazing at life. Frank Ocean FOREVER.

"Hitting the gas on the Prius V made a sound like what I imagine Johnny 5 taking a painful crap would sound like." This is why I love Jalopnik. Thank you Jason.

Cayennes are really really nice. If they didn't wear a Porsche badge nobody would be complaining. I've driven the diesel Cayennes that were sent to Alaska for this press event and I agree completely with Alex's review. Granted, they all had like 60k dollars worth of options over the seemingly reasonable 57k dollar

I think it's interesting that it's this car that caused Caswell to lose his shit and not the X5M and X6M. Both of those were way bigger affronts to my roundel loving sensibilities than a paint and sticker package for the M3. I will say this though, BMW lost it's way after the E39 M5 and E46 M3 and it doesn't show any
