I worked for the Seattle branch of PageOne while I was in college as a driver/detailer/inspector. It was one of the most fun jobs I’ve ever had. It was also a really interesting introduction to the world of automotive journalism. We didn’t have many huge outlets there save for MSN Autos and I think one guy who wrote

The Fiesta ST is relatively rare. I live in LA and rarely see others on the road. The Focus ST to Fiesta ST ratio is stacked pretty heavily towards the Focus side.

Excellent Facel Vega tail lights.

The ST Recaros seats are a little tight until you break them in but now they’re among the best seats I’ve ever sat in. I’m 6’4” 300lbs. The regular Fiesta seats are garbage.

I had a 1977 Alfetta sedan last year of the small body cars I think. It had an Ansa exhaust and was generally amazing. Brake jobs were nightmares, the starter had brutal heat soak issues, changing the oil filter for the injection pump sucked, and in top gear at red line it would only do around 85 mph but that’s ok

Wow, Bremerton. That's my hometown. It's still weird going home and seeing tons of huge warships sitting in one place mouldering.

Well at 8/10 I wouldn't say I crushed it exactly, but I'll accept it.

I bought a Fiesta ST as an economical daily driver replacement for my aging E39 525i Touring. What I failed to account for is the fact that I live in Los Angeles which would probably give Beirut a run for its money in terms of horrible roads, and now my spine is ruined. Still love the ST though. Maybe I need an E39

Tiny company known for making lightweight low-power class victory contenders decides to compete for an all out win at Le Mans. Builds terrifying death machine powered by a banshee wailing flat fan-equipped air-cooled flat 12, kills and maims tons of dudes, destroys competition and generally pisses in Ferrari's

Hahahaha bogans! There's even a ute in the background. I love it.

Coming from primarily BMWs (which have obscenely dusty OE pads), I can confidently say that the FiST OE pads are the dustiest I've ever seen. They work great, awesome compound, but they wear quickly and are ultra dusty. My wheels are almost black after a week of driving. It's bananas. I think I'm going to switch to a

I've heard that the Fiesta ST suffers the same problem, so stick to autocross.

This is a seriously mean looking car and the video from the Touriclips guy on youtube is crazybananas awesome. I'm betting it's a punched out version of the 9A1 engine (4 liters maybe?) and that it's gonna see production of more than 500. I hope to crap that they schlep it to Rennsport in October so I can watch it

The car in the main image has been sponsored by Thomas Pynchon and his novella The Crying of Lot 49.

Not to come off as pedantic butttttt...

Considering the ever increasing value of all air-cooled 911s (even the shitty mid-year 74-76 cars), they're definitely out of reach of the majority of people to just use as a track rat. Had you said 996, or 944 turbo, or even 914 I'd be totally on board, but when you have thrashed SCs going for 20k+ I just think its

Needs an S14.

Well, I literally bought a Fiesta ST so that pretty much sums up my whole take on this internet donnybrook.

This seems like a Porsche lawsuit waiting to happen.

Ehh, agree to disagree. I will say that it is a very fast car and likely a wonderful way to quickly traverse long distances. I just can't stand to look at it.
