I mean jokes about death, cannabalism etc... are common in my household too, but we still acknowledge that’s dark humor. We don’t go “suicide, what a wonderful phrase, it means no worries for the rest of your days” or whatever and not think, hmm yeah that’s a little morbid. 

Have to agree. Either give in or don’t but don’t whine about being “forced”. Your kids don’t force you to do things, you make the choice to do them, whether to avoid a scene or whatever. And yeah, my family didn’t play that either. As the old folks used to say “if you’re mad, you better scratch your ass and get glad”.

Curious as to how you come to that conclusion? Puppies and kittens deserve love. Babies deserve love, all the love there is and the argument can certainly be made that there are others that do indeed deserve love and good things, whether they get them or not. And the opposite argument can be made as well.

The first time I saw SNL was at a sleep over, though her mom was not getting busy AFAIK. It’s because of SNL that I discovered Doctor Who which came on right after.
