Not a boomer, not conservative, not white and I used to love the show. Like a lot of people, we only picked it up after the reruns popped up on USA. I really liked the characters and the relationships(I’m big on found family)and we like procedurals. It was pretty mindless fun until it wasn’t anymore. Haven’t watched

Honestly I imagine 2 seasons per book and them going at least to Queen of the Damned. At that point, when things start getting weirder and weirder(and that’s saying something) they’ll also get harder to film. Doing The Body Thief might be hard because of the plot..can’t see them doing Memnoch, but I can see them

That’s pretty harsh without knowing this person’s circumstances, especially in their early twenties, when people are still very vulnerable to the control and influence of others and to consequences of their childhood/teenagehood. It often takes people a long time to be able to break away from toxic relationships

I mean he brilliantly deduces that a children’s movie, based on a children’s book is for children. Also, doesn’t understand that the books got darker and more serious because the audience was growing up, not because the author was growing as a writer.

Agreed, which is why it will always by my favorite. I grew up watching 70s spy/conspiracy thrillers like Three Days of the Condor and All The President’s Men and CA:TWS reminds me of nothing so much as that, right down to casting Robert Redford.

I mean I can pause my Netflix binge and go to the bathroom without missing anything, I can stop watching if I have a headache and comeback later, I can stretch out, shoeless and braless and comfortable, I can rewind if I missed something or didn’t understand something.

yeah, no. I’ve learned everything from how to open the damn battery compartment on my dog’s nail clipper to how to open the damn top on a pump bottle so it works on YouTube. How to clear my condensation line in the freezer? Youtube, tips on using gouache, acrylic and watercolor? Youtube, how to navigate the self

and people wonder how someone can kill a family member. Those should be the only people you can kill.

you know, if they didn’t require accounts/passwords for every goddamn thing, people wouldn’t give up in despair and use the same username/password everywhere. I mean why the hell do I need an account and password to comment here? Why do I need one to buy something from a site I’m probably never going to visit again?

they also work like 3 days a week(source-answering service operator) I’ve always said I should have been a dental assistant

Chidi spent his whole life looking for a way to control emotion through reason...and how lonely, on top of stressful that must have been for him. A small child who has a horrible emotional scare, the possibility of his parents divorce, and who is convinced that it was solved through rationality.

Simone was never going to be endgame for Chidi though. Even without all this going on, they would have dated for a while and then broken up. Probably even stayed friends depending on how much they got on each other’s nerves before the break up.

I laughed out loud multiple times during this episode, though that’s not at all important to me, it’s a lovely bonus when it happens, but considering people laugh at farts, it’s not a mark of quality or value.

wait, what? Hersheys and M&M Mars are secretly slave traders? WTF?

Well it’s not like she was a terrible person on earth. She seemed to be a basically decent person. Honestly, what you see as selfishness, I see as a self worth. She won’t let her self be walked over, either when she was alive or after she’s dead. But even if it is selfishness, again, it’s not the cataclysmic type(in

I did too. The fact that they’ve pushed it to September means it sucks and they want to fix it --which sadly, rarely works --or they think it has a chance for an Oscar and they wanted it closer to awards season so it won’t be forgotten(yeah, I know which one I’m going with here.)

You’ve clearly never watched the multitude of movies set in the future that are bleak, dark dsytopians, from 1984 to Mad Max to Blade Runner and Strange Days etc... This is exactly the future we were promised. It’s the future we’ve earned and the one we deserve.

No mention of it, but she was utterly fabulous as June on White Collar a, probably her last significant role. Still badass, still gorgeous, still repping class and grace and style.

Really interesting because both Starbucks and Chick fil A cause traffic jams all the time here and nobody gives a shit. I’ve seen cops or rent a cops out there directing traffic instead of forcing people to pull into the parking lot and not sit on the street waiting for the  drive through.

You know these are mandatory reading in a lot of schools right? It’s not like people are picking these up for fun and then whining about it. Austin, Melville, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Homer, Faulkner, etc...were all part of my highschool reading curriculum. And marriage is more relatable than whaling for a
