Then it would appear you just cracked what five university researchers couldn’t. Well done.
Decades from now historians will agree that the discontinuation of the pop-up headlight marked the decline of human civilization.
Every time I read stories like this, it’s always all about what everyone else needs to do to accommodate cyclists. Never is there ever a word about what cyclists need to do to build allies. I walk to and from work every day. Cycling to work, for the reasons outlined here as well as those mentioned in other comments…
It’s a damn shame this is heading down the well beaten path of expectations.
IMO the real issue here is consumer expectations. There is no middle ground for autonomous technology to live in in most peoples minds. Either we scrap it entirely, or we don’t do anything with it until it’s 100% bulletproof. Anything that lands in the middle is publicly considered a disaster.

I believe he’s British and that’s the correct spelling.
Wait, is your argument seriously that he isn’t qualified to correct others’ mistakes if he himself makes mistakes? You forgot the apostrophe in “someone’s” to make it possessive rather than plural. So I guess your comment is invalid now too. So is everyone else’s comments (including mine) because it turns out we all…
Would you care to share the issue?
Yikes, let’s not give away all of the kids techniques, eh? Next week: “Newly hired “dining hall monitors” harassing college students for taking a second helping of food at State U.”
