And it’s currently broken to shit. Like you can’t even see who’s winning half the time. It’s been on for an hour and I think we’ve only seen about ten winners or so.

Im honestly quite fine with the lack of fashion. They look like normal people. As opposed to the Red carpet where people gush over outfits that are insanely expensive, are only worn once, and nine times out of ten, are hideous. 

I mean...the game tells you that you have a five/ten second wait when you faint. You'd think commen sense would dictate that other players have the same thing happening to them.

What we have here is typical Nintendo Online bull. Or rather, typical first party NSO bull. I think Splatoon is the only first party game I’ve played that has decent online.

I mostly agree with you though I do wish they would have given him the chance to prove us wrong. Though I remember Mario before he sounded exaggeratedly italian, which might be why I’m fine with Pratt.

It’s more of the fact that the article makes it sound like Smogon is the same as official. It’s banned by an certain group in the way that they like to play and that’s honestly quite fine. But it’s not an official thing with no penalty whatsoever. 

I mean....both are true? Some people hate it and want refunds. Others are having a blast despite the bugs. Not seeing a problem here

Oh I know what you meant. I was saying the same thing. I’m not doubting that it’s broken. Just that I’ve been lucky so far.

Being the most lucrative media franchise hopefully means there will be a patch coming. 

Yeah, the worst I'd have happen was frame rate issues. Never had a crash or anything like that. It almost sounds like they're exaggerating with how broken it is, but again, that's just my experience. 

I seriously wondered the same. Maybe people thought it would just be a lazily done cash in? Maybe people are that jaded? 

Good thing I saw this. I play the card game every so often and if I had seen that there was a new version, I would have migrated over no questions asked.

Here’s hoping it actually stays up this time around. I see no reason for Nintendo to make a big stink about it. Aside from them being Nintendo.

Growing pains and not wanting to seem like they’re directly copying I guess. If they started out with this then they would have had much more success. Still..better late than never I suppose.

Ah, the days of Bawls and Jolt...fond memories. 

Quite a few don’t, but they’re mostly fighting game streamers. Most FG streamers still stream if they lose. Hell they welcome matches from skilled opponents because it’s totally boring to win all the time.

Tony Hawk comes to mind. Like a decade or so ago they released a game that was for the most part empty. It was ridiculous.

I had a bit of a bad feeling about this game as the months wore on and it was confirmed when they said that the console version was locked at 30fps without a performance mode, which is ridiculous in 2022.
