Do we even know if it will let you play alone in the first place?

This is sarcasm, right?

This honestly. I mean, Sony has done shit like timed exclusivity. Remember a while back when there was an entire mode of CoD that could only be played on PS for like a year? Or how FF16 is now a Sony exclusive despite the last few games being multiplatform?

If a game gets removed from Gamepass, you can still buy it. Hell, you can get it at a discount for like two or so weeks before it’s removed.

Also, first party stuff is pretty much guaranteed to stick around.

So you love LGBTQIA but you donate to people who shit all over their freedoms.

Reminds me of JK Rowling, proclaiming she loves her trans fans and then doing what she did.

I think he means “I love LGBT when they spend money on my stuff.”

Does ANYONE bother with Twitch chat during these big shows? E3, ASDQ, EVO, etc. If I’m watching on Twitch, then chat goes off. The only exception is if I’m watching it on someone’s else stream, which is usually very well moderated.

Exactly. I’ve always thought it was an interesting mechanic that not enough games take advantage of. Yeah, we have narrative choices, but branching paths that are dependent on the outcome of battles? How is that not more common in 2021?

Depends. I mean it would be pretty awesome if the narrative takes into consideration that you skipped a boss fight.

It reminds me of No Mercy for the N64. If you would win a match, the story went one way. If you lost, it went another. It worked well and was HIGHLY replayable.

Honestly, I agree with this. My first instinct was “Well what’s the point of boss battles then?”. But that’s how *I* play games. I like a challenge. Doesn’t mean everyone does. So it’s pretty awesome that there’s a choice.

Instead of a seamless ground-to-air combo, the game cuts to a tracking shot that still completely disorients me after hours of play. My guess is that Arc System Works wanted to impart a better sense of momentum as the combatants rush through the air, but it just feels weird coming from other fighting games and

Honestly, I feel the same about both consoles. The ONLY reason I got a Series X is because I was coming from a One S and for the price of a One X at the time, it made more sense to just upgrade. And then I ended up getting a PS4 again to play the games I missed out on. There is nothing that makes a PS5 a MUST have

Nintendo has new servers?

And yeah, XX/GU Multiplayer ran pretty flawlessly on the switch, so I’m really not surprised Rise does as well

I’m curious. Is this a new thing or a reimagining of Shin Kamen Rider from the early 90s? I’m guessing the former since the latter was......meh.

So subscribe to Microsoft’s service on Microsoft’s system and get Sony’s game for free. Meanwhile over on the Playstation, there’s no such option. That’s kinda amusing.

Though I’m hoping this will open Sony’s eyes to how lucrative a game pass like service can be.

For fuck sake, it still uses SD cards for its games

It is absolutely insane that Nintendo hasn’t capitalized on this. Having a massive catalog of games to play on NSO would sell the service on it’s own. Even if they just made their first party offerings available across the last FIVE generations, it would be huge.

Hey, we made a console, it’s the same as the last one, but with more power. We added one button on the controller, too”.

This. Monster Hunter will teach you the basics, but it’s not going to hold your hand. Even with the streamlined system, it’s still going to kick your ass if you go into it thinking it’s going to be simple.

Monster Hunter is just one of those games that just “clicks” with you. I tried the series back on the PSP and just could not get into it at all. I tried it on the 3DS and it was the same thing. World was the game in which it all made sense to me. After that I was able to see how fun the earlier games were.

Wait, the next gen versions of THPS1+2 are coming out? Wow, completely forgot about them.
