Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t imagine just leaving my switch out of the dock for days at a time. The dock is right by my desk and if I’m not playing it somewhere else in the house then it’s in the dock. It’s a launch Switch and I really haven’t had much trouble with battery life.

They probably wanted people to move to Game Pass Ultimate. I’m curious of the breakdown, but considering a ton of people have maxed out their subscriptions with the “3 months for $1" deal, I wonder how many subscribers are already on GPU vs how many are still on XBL. They probably thought this would move the outliers…

I am perfectly fine with the option because rechargeable batteries are freaking plentiful and easy to replace. Choice is always a good thing

It’s still much much simpler than PC. There you have to worry about driver issues and having the right hardware and such. Even with updates and such, on console it’s still all the same hardware, so you know it will work. 

This. I remember demos were a big thing in the 360/PS3 days with most of the digital titles. 

All of those games didn’t have a MASSIVE marketing campaign behind them though. Of which was focused on one version of the game (PC). They also didn’t release during the holiday season. The way Sony is probably looking at this is to try to alleviate the headache of people buying the PS4 version thinking it’s at least…

This is a friendly reminder that renting a severely hyped game before buying is always a good idea compared to preordering.

They are soooooooooo full of shit. They exclusively marketed the PC version and hid the base console versions. They wanted you to believe that the experience was uniform or close to uniform across the platforms. They knew exactly what the hell they were doing.

I don’t mind console exclusivity in natural cases. Like first party stuff. You’re not going to see Zelda on Xbox, Halo on PS, etc.

especially because for a lot of people, myself included, “is this game as shitty about trans people as it seems” is going to really contribute to their purchase decision.

1) Have you SEEN the marketing blitz for this game? I’m pretty excited to play it and even I will say it’s overhyped.

It’s ridiculous because....it’s MONSTER HUNTER. This is the franchise that has made Capcom a metric shit ton of money. The series that has finally achieved world wide success. On top of that, Rise is coming out next year so you’d think they would care a bit more....

And yet, Twitch STILL hasn’t implemented at trans tag. Something that MANY people have been clamoring for. Instead we get the generic “We’re listening to you, we promise” crap. 

That is preferred, yes. But I’m talking about people who complained about what nintendo did, but have no problem using discord as an alternative to party chat on other consoles. 

Oh it’s definitely a piece of shit app. But people were also shitting on the idea of using an app for chatting. While also praising Discord which is a (much better albeit) app for chatting.

Amusingly enough, Nintendo tried to do that with it’s app and everyone shit on it.
