I...don’t really see him pushing for console exclusivity deals outside of “Hey we make this game so it’s an exclusive.” Unlike Sony and their “We’ll pay you for timed exclusives and to lock certain modes of certain games to our consoles only” strategy.

The early games were just “Punch and kick for hours” because...well come on, that was par for the course back then. You’re not going to have the kind of open world game on the NES/SNES so they did what they could. It’s one reason why Spidey 2 is considered so revolutionary.

This game was TERRIBLE, but it did have some freaking amazing music.

I’ve heard of some minor issues with the Xboxes, but aside from that, they both seem stable as freaking hell.

It’s something. The PS5 has that “new console” feel with the new UI and all that, but with all these bugs and such, it’s making the Series X/S look stable as hell. I initially was disappointed that the new consoles weren’t going to be drastically different with the interface, but holy shit has that paid off.

The Dreamcast was an amazing as hell system. It’s too bad it didn’t get to realize it’s full potential.

Same, but for Xbox. I have never gotten a console at launch with the exception of the Dreamcast.

This is basically just Twitch being all “Look at us, aren’t we great?”

I mean, they can do stuff like this and meanwhile trans streamers are still clamoring for our own tag.

Well, not to be that girl, but the Xbox doesn’t have this issue. It’s possible it could be something about how the PS5 handles these games instead of something wrong with the game code.

Good point. I still expected the results to be somewhat comparable with the older stuff because one of the selling points is “It’ll make your old games better!”

Kinda figured it would be game dependent instead of an all around thing. Monster Hunter loads up almost twice as fast on the Series X for instance.

How does that compare to the PlayStation 5, which also boasts spectacularly speedy SSD drives? We can’t say, partly because we can’t review the PS5 yet but mostly because we don’t have similar games on both platforms to compare.

The only console I got at launch or close to it was the Dreamcast. I got it the day after it launched.

So Twitch can unveil this dumbass feature but they still refuse to implement a trans tag, something that the community has been clamoring for. Good to know.

Pretty certain GamePass has taken up all the good stuff. I mean sure you get some gems with GWG sometimes, but with everyone transitioning over to GamePass, it usually doesn’t get any fanfare.

For someone who takes a lot of screenshots and all, it’s pretty convenient.

Gen 5 was a bit harder than the others and B2/W2 had a hard mode but I remember the fans complained about gen 5 in general so with gen 6 they went with extreme easy mode and it’s kinda been simple ever since.

This gen has changed a few things and it’s easy enough to challenge yourself, but otherwise it’s insanely easy

No. The Vita was completely proprietary and was insanely more expensive than the standard SD cards at the time. This is the actual price of the technology and the price is going to be the same no matter where you go.

That’s what I’m thinking honestly. The Series S is supposed to have smaller downloads and I really don’t need a ton of games on the onboard storage.

Though I am curious how much of that 512GB is actually usable....

Microsoft confirmed earlier this year that while existing external hard drives will be compatible with the Series X and S for Xbox One, 360, and Xbox games, next-gen games will only work off of proprietary SSD drives.
