I never stated she did plead insanity. Yet you and others with far less information than her own defense are now presenting this defense on her behalf.

Existing mental issues DO NOT make an insanity plea. She had to not know what she was doing is wrong in the view of society.

Important distinction: in criminal court, an insanity plea (not guilty by reason of mental defect) is not just a simple qualification of the person’s mental acuity. It also includes the ability of a person to understand if the actions they took were right or wrong by the judgement of society.
